Write nice letters to real people again in Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop)

During yesterday's Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition Showcase, developer Popcannibal revealed Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop), the sequel to 2019's well-received Kind Words.

The first Kind Words invited players to exchange worries and letters of comfort in 2019. To date, more than 5 million letters of kindness, support and emotional connection have been exchanged. Kind Words was also awarded BAFTA award in the Game Beyond Entertainment category, and was rated overwhelmingly positive on Steam, with 98% of over 7,000 user reviews marked as positive.

The founder of Popcannibal, Ziba Scott, stated that they created Kind Words 2 because they feel that there is not enough space online where strangers can be completely honest and compassionate without the burden of likes, subscriptions, followers and other unnecessary distractions that can hinder honest communication between people.

The sequel improves on the features of the first game and introduces a new area enriched with new ways of expressing kindness. Elements like letters, stickers and rooms from Kind Words 1 return with additional improvements. Players will still be able to send letters of encouragement from their cozy and customizable rooms, but they'll also get a chance to explore the new city of lofi. In that city, they can fine-tune their impressions and interact with the community in new ways, including sharing poetry, exchanging recommendations, and fulfilling wishes.

Kind Words 2 is due out next year for PC via Steam.
