The game takes you through an episodic digital mystery adventure, based on various urban myths that you can explore online, presented through impressive psychedelic pixel art. Take on urban myth cases as heroine Azami Fukurai, under the tutelage of Ayumu Meguriya, an S-level psychic and director of the center.
Shown again during last week's Indie World Showcase, Urban Myth Dissolution Center, an upcoming adventure/visual game in a retro pixelated style, is developed by Japanese studio Hakaba-Bunko, alongside publisher Shueisha Games.

Players collect circumstantial evidence and social media posts to uncover the truth behind each urban myth, as well as each client's hidden past and why they encountered each oddity. Solve each myth and case to discover the solution and unexpected consequences of each episode. The Urban Myth Dissolution Center is a private institution under the leadership of director Ayumu Meguriye, focused on adaptive exploration of urban myths through field and online methods, along with psychic divination.
Urban Myth Dissolution Center is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2024 alongside the previously announced PC version via Steam.
