UFO 50 brings a collection of 50 unique indie games from different genres

The release date for this unique creation was just announced during the Day of the Devs 2024: Summer Game Fest. UFO 50 offers a variety of single-player and multiplayer games, including platformers, shoot 'em ups, puzzle, roguelite, and RPG titles. The goal of the developers at Mossmouth is to blend 8-bit aesthetics with modern design.

What we learned from the newly released trailer is that these are not mini-games. Although the size of each game varies, each is a complete experience with its own title, introduction, and conclusion. According to the story, the games were created by a fictional 80s company that was unknown but ahead of its time. Some games are sequels to others in the collection, and characters appear in multiple titles as part of a shared continuity.

All 50 games are available immediately, inspired by multicart collections and the experience of visiting friends and browsing their game libraries. Notably, each game uses a unique palette of 32 colors to appear as authentic 8-bit titles from the 80s. Additionally, half of the collection offers local multiplayer, including co-op and versus modes.

UFO 50 officially releases for PC via Steam on September 15.
