Turn-based strategy game Highwater, which is set in an apocalypse world caused by climate change, will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store platform from March 14. Initially, Highwater was released on iOS and Android platforms.
Winner of the NYX Gold Awards for Best Visual Art on PC and Best Independent PC Title, it is set in a world after a climate disaster that has flooded the entire planet. Follow Nikos and his friends as they try to smuggle themselves onto a rocket supposedly traveling to Mars, while exploring nautical environments and dealing with rebels as they sail the high seas to the original music of Highwater Pirate Radio.
In Highwater, the experience of small victories, difficult interruptions and unusual obstacles on this extraordinary journey becomes more important and interesting than the hope-filled destination itself. Remain mesmerized by the waterscapes before reaching potentially dangerous areas and engage enemies through classic turn-based combat, using items such as oars, harpoons, fishing rods, wheelbarrows, and more to secure the upper hand over them.
