Publisher Thunderful Games and developer Image & Form Games have announced the turn-based RPG sequel SteamWorld Heist II for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam), releasing on August 8.

In the game, we are in a world where the water crisis has transformed the precious resource into a deadly element that corrodes metal limbs and mechanical hearts. Players take on the role of Captain Leeway, leader of a ragtag crew of Steambots, as they investigate a mysterious threat threatening the Great Sea. The high seas adventure offers an exciting journey through the vast horizons above and below the surface of the ocean, and the combat in the game is dynamic, combining precise targeting with repelling enemy attacks.
As a captain, you are responsible for equipping and customizing your crew with a variety of weapons, skills, and equipment. You must navigate the dangers of the Great Sea as you guide your crew through various challenges. You also set sail to explore the vast ocean, taking part in lively real-time naval battles, and attacking enemy bases and capturing valuable loot. In addition, you have the option to relax, upgrade your equipment and crew, and make alliances in animated bars.
