Madrid-based Fennec Studio has announced Runa, a turn-based RPG that draws inspiration from modern and classic Japanese RPGs. Also, the campaign on Kickstarter will launch on the 16th April.

This game is set in a world where runes represent the technological advancement of an ancient civilization. Whether for everyday use or in battle, the use of runes is essential. Only certain individuals, known as adepts, can fully control them and harness their true power. As players, you follow the journey of a group of adventurers who, guided by their unique motives, travel the world and discover all its hidden secrets.

Elemental Break System is a combat system that draws inspiration from classic JRPG games; it brings turn-based battles, elemental affinities and strategic gameplay. You can keep a total of seven characters in your party, which can then be swapped out at any time (without losing moves), and use group ultimates and powerful skills. In addition, you can romance different characters to strengthen your relationships with them and have more than 15 romantic options, including same-sex relationships.

Solve a variety of elemental puzzles using seven different elements and 12 skills. Build your base in the city of Enyth by creating and upgrading buildings according to your preferences and recruit certain characters or complete important tasks to unlock their construction. You will be able build residences, canteen, dojo, laboratory, farm, research center, antique shop, etc.
