The highly anticipated free-to-play MMORPG, Throne and Liberty, is set to launch on September 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Developed by NCSOFT and published by Amazon Games, this cross-platform title will be available in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. An open beta test will run for all platforms in the supported regions from July 18 to 23, offering players a sneak peek into the game’s expansive world.

Throne and Liberty emphasizes social interaction, encouraging you to join guilds and engage with each other. Guild interactions and alliances are central to the game, offering you the chance to participate in epic PvE and PvP battles. One standout feature is the Castle Siege, which can accommodate thousands of players simultaneously, creating large-scale, dynamic battles.

Now, the question arises: should you be excited about this game? According to players who have played it early, the game is quite challenging, with low drop rates for essential items, making progression frustrating. Additionally, the game favors large guilds, making it difficult for solo players or small alliances to compete for significant rewards, similar to Pax Dei. Furthermore, the lack of variety in skills and weapons leads to repetitive builds, and the mastery system is overly linear.

On the other hand, the game looks fantastic and runs well, even with a large number of players on screen. The combat system is engaging and more enjoyable than many other tab-target systems. Additionally, there are various events, world bosses, and dungeons that are said to provide plenty of activities for players.
