After a decade since its premiere season and five years since its announcement, The Wolf Among Us 2 is still in production, as announced by Telltale Games. Delighted fans have expressed their excitement via social media, hoping for a sequel to follow or even surpass the original story.
The unique style, color palette, framing and general atmosphere of the first game were highly praised. But even though it's been more than three years since The Wolf Among Us 2 was announced, Telltale Games recently decided to share with fans four new images from the game to confirm that the project is still moving forward. While it's clear that the game is still in development, these new images provide hope that we could see a release date soon.
Last night Game Awards host Geoff Keighley shared the images on X with the statement that The Wolf Among Us 2 is “now in production”. The game was announced in 2019 during The Game Awards, shortly after Telltale reopened under new management, but without most of the original staff, following its shutdown in November 2018.
“We've been quiet for a long time because we've been working hard on The Wolf Among Us 2. And while we can't share any big updates just yet, here's something for you: fresh images from current development. The work is in progress. The Fabletown crew is back. Thank you for being our fans," said TellTale Games.
Wolf Among Us 2 was originally scheduled for release last year, but was pushed back to 2024 due to the switch from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.
