Tales of Kenzera: ZAU pays homage to those we've lost

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU marks the first venture from newly founded Surgent Studios, led by actor Abubakar Salim, known for his roles in Raised by Wolves and Assassin's Creed: Origins.

The game is an emotional tribute to Salim's late father. It's a sidescrolling platformer where you take on the role of a young shaman named Zau, who makes a pact with the god of death to bring his deceased father back from the world of the dead.

This game takes us on a magical journey through a beautiful colorful 2.5D world, inspired by the ancient stories of the Bantu tribe, while expressing a special dedication to those who have lost their loved ones. During his adventure, Zau will use two different types of magic, necessary for fighting and solving puzzles. The atmosphere resembles that of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so if you enjoyed that game, ZAU might give you a similar gaming experience.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch, and will be released on April 23rd of this year.
