Studio Grimorio of Games announced that a 3D remake of Sword of the Necromancer, called Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, will release in late summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam.
Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection will be a reimagining of the original monster-summoning dungeon-crawler, which originally featured pixelated top-down graphics. Based on the Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant engine, players will be able to relive protagonist Tama's quest to bring her lover back to life in 3D, with exciting new combat modes and revamped mechanics and systems. This remake will also feature remastered high-quality artwork, voice acting in English and Japanese, and new scenes that further deepen Tama's and Koko's tragic love story.
If you happen to finish Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, you'll also unlock rewards in Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant once it becomes available, including the ability to summon bosses from the remake.
