The long-awaited fantasy and tactical JRPG Sword of Convallaria (SoC) is set to get its demo version as part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest. Starting February 5, players will be able to step into the enchanting world of Iria and experience SoC's unique blend of turn-based strategy and pixel art aesthetics as part of an exclusive demo.

The Steam Next Fest demo promises up to 10 hours of single-player gameplay, an early glimpse of what's to come in the full release. Although the exact release date has not yet been announced, developers from XD Inc. confirm that the game will be free-to-play on Steam, iOS and Android, with plans for console versions currently in development.

In SoC, players will experience authentic grid-based tactical battles where they will test their skills and strategies. In addition, they will recruit and train a diverse team of inn companions, perfecting their powerful attacks and shaping their unique characteristics and abilities to lead them on an epic adventure filled with missions, loot and glory.

Musical producer Hitoshi Sakimoto, best known for the music from games such as FF Tactics, FFXII and Tactics Ogre, brings his expertise to Sword of Convallaria with the best music compositions to date. The production quality is further enhanced with the presence of over 40 voice acting stars from the worlds of anime and games, including names like Kazuhiko Inoue (Naruto, Final Fantasy XV, Fire Emblem Heroes), Aoi Yūki (Pokemon, Xenoblade Chronicles, Genshin Impact) and Takuya Eguchi (Spy x Family, Granblue Fantasy, BLUELOCK).
