In a new trailer debuted during Summer Game Fest, Arc Games and Heart Machine announced that the highly-anticipated co-op rogue-lite adventure, Hyper Light Breaker, is officially set to launch in Steam Early Access in late summer.
From Heart Machine, the award-winning team behind critically acclaimed titles such as Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash, comes Hyper Light Breaker, a new roguelite adventure set in the same beloved universe as the first game. This new entry in the Hyper Light franchise brings a unique story, fully realized in 3D for the first time. Set decades before Drifter, this sequel puts you in the role of the famed Breaker, a mercenary tasked with venturing into the Overgrowth.
In Hyper Light Breaker, you will explore a chaotic world filled with mysteries to solve, fierce enemies to battle, and fully 3D environments to explore. The game features expansive, ever-changing, procedurally generated worlds with large open biomes and deep labyrinths. Each playthrough provides unique layouts, enemies, and rewards. You will also have incredible freedom of movement, utilizing abilities such as wall dashing, hoverboards, gliders, and more.
Only through exploration will you uncover the dark truths of the Crowns, The Abyss King, and this brutal, eerie new landscape. Also, you can choose to play alone or with friends in online co-operative play , exploring open worlds, creating new builds, fighting through hordes, and overcoming the various bosses.
