Morbid: The Lords of Ire will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch along with the previously announced PC version (Steam, Epic Games Store), and will launch in 2024, publisher Merge Games and developer Still Running have announced. The demo will be released on PC via Steam on December 5th.
The sequel to the studio's hit Morbid: The Seven Acolytes, the critically acclaimed isometric-style Soulslike game originally launched in 2020, Morbid: The Lords of Ire invites players to face the madness as they traverse a gruesome horrorpunk reality from a brand new 3D perspective. Players will rejoin their hero, Striver of Dibrom, to eliminate and traverse a world of evil creatures.
With an improved version of the Sanity system from the prequel, experience a dynamic adventure that is shaped by your actions. Furthermore, blast your way through your opponents using upgraded weapons and advanced upgrade systems, preparing to face the mighty Lords of Ire.
You will have the opportunity to explore diverse environments in five unique worlds, filled with challenging tasks and secrets to uncover. Enrich your weapons with runes to enhance their abilities and upgrade your arsenal, with the addition of a new and improved blessing system.
