Studio Red Candle Games announced that its action platformer Nine Sols will release on May 29 for PC via Steam. This developer is known for the psychological horror game Detention, which collected very positive reviews on Steam, and was released back in 2017.
The studio aims to deliver a stylized action platformer with a connected story. Follow Yi on his quest for revenge against the nine Sols, the fearsome rulers of the abandoned kingdom, in a battle inspired by Sekiro. Explore a unique "Taopunk" environment that combines cyberpunk themes with Taoism and Far Eastern mythology, and discover the mysteries of an ancient alien race and the fate of humanity.
Prepare to fight ancient guardians and gruesome creatures. Utilize every move in your arsenal and use Yi's bow to defeat a variety of powerful figures, meaning combat combines fast-paced action sequences with platforming movement mechanics. Also, Nine Sols features hand-crafted anime-style landscapes and animations inspired by Japanese manga.
