Rune Fencer Illyia is an intense and atmospheric action platformer with a strong focus on exploration, honest storytelling and fast-paced combat.
The story follows a young girl, Illiya, who wakes up inside the wrecked airship she was traveling on. Stranded and alone, Illyia must explore the strange world to locate her missing twin sister and find her way home.
In the game, we will wander through a huge, mysterious and hand-crafted world consisting of 24 areas, meet different allies and enemies and outsmart them with fast swordsmanship and powerful runic magic. In addition, it will be important to avoid different types of attacks, all in order to successfully steal the runic signs of your enemies and become stronger.
Powerful sigils and ancient stones bring us various skills and abilities such as the ability to move massive objects, various deadly combinations of attacks, breathing underwater or stopping time during combat. More than 150 unique enemies lurk in the depths of the kingdom of Ithos, and intense boss battles will challenge your skills and knowledge of this game.
Over 120 different foods and potions are waiting to be made, and you'll be able to use a wide variety of ingredients, that is, the game promises us a very rewarding experience of experimentation. Relaxation from the action can be found with a fishing mini-game inspired by musical rhythm games or by petting many friendly creatures, such as a giant capybara.
Rune Fencer Illyia shouldn't be releasing any time soon, as Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign was successfully completed last week that raised 178 thousand dollars, and 3800 people supported it.
It will be playable on PC via Steam and Epic Games, with console versions (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch) coming as well.
