Roguelite action game Realm of Ink launches in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 17th. This title is being developed by Leap Studio and Maple Leaf Studio and will be published by 663 Games. It will also be released for unspecified consoles later this year.
The game's story revolves around Red, a swordsperson who discovers she is a fictional character in the book Realm of Ink. Players must unlock the dark secrets of the Book Spirit to defy fate. Key features include exquisite Ink-style art, various combinations and builds using Ink Gems, rare magical treasures, distinctive stages, and the ability to fight alongside Ink Pets. During Early Access, frequent updates are planned, including more playable characters, expanded weapon sets, additional Ink Pet gameplay mechanics, bosses, and more.
Early Access will include the following:
- Four-act levels and eight bosses
- Playable character Red the Swordswoman with three weapons
- 20 Ink Gem skills across four tiers
- 15 Ink Pets across four tiers with over 40 forms
- Over 150 Perks for diverse building possibilities
- First layer of world-building and 30% of the storyline
- Endless mode for challenge seekers
