See what the unique horror title Rotten Flesh looks like, in which the use of the microphone is essential

While it doesn't offer anything revolutionary that we haven't seen before, Rotten Flesh can be very proud of its unique way of using microphones for gaming. We can compare it to Don't Scream, which also uses the microphone for a more immersive gaming experience, but you're not allowed to scream while exploring eerie forest. However, Rotten Flesh offers a slightly different premise, in which you search for your lost furry companion Roy.

As players, you have to call out your dog's name in hopes that it will bark. But, like any other normal human being, you must venture deep into the sewers where your dog is lost, while something else can also hear your cries such as malevolent creatures, strange cultists, decaying corpses, and nightmarish entities.

While the microphone input is optional and can be replaced by voice acting, solo developer Steelkrill Studio who has been developing this game for some time, highly recommends using a microphone for a completely different experience playing horror games. For those who prefer a more restrained approach, Rotten Flesh offers alternative methods of progressing through its dark world. Whether you choose to face, dodge or solve puzzles, the ultimate goal remains the same – to find your faithful canine companion and bring him back to safety.

Although it doesn't have an official release date yet, Rotten Flesh will launch first on Steam in Early Access, and you can certainly expect a quality title as Steelkrill Studio is known for its acclaimed games such as The Backrooms 1998 and The Voidness, which received positive reviews from Steam players.
