Publisher PM Studios and developer Zarc Attack announced that shooter Exophobia is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Switch and PC via Steam on July 23rd.

Exophobia is a retro-inspired sci-fi first-person shooter with a modern Metroidvania progression. This game mixes sharp, colorful pixel-art graphics with intense electronic music to create a unique aesthetic.

In Exophobia, you are alone in a spaceship that has been attacked by hostile alien soldiers. Your task is to explore the ship, fight enemies and find surviving crew members, while discovering what happened on board. At the same time, you will upgrade your alien weapons all in order to successfully survive and escape from the ship. Quick reflexes and tactical positioning are key to survival.

Each enemy comes with its own behavior pattern, which you'll learn over time and use to eliminate different groups of soldiers and bosses in fast-paced, action-packed combat. The ship consists of multiple floors, with each floor bringing unique enemies and environments. Also, every time you visit a specialized weapon lab, you'll be able to upgrade them with new abilities. These abilities significantly strengthen your character and allow you to access areas previously unavailable.

The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions will also be available as a physical edition, and are scheduled to be released on the same day as the digital editions. Each physical release will include a sticker sheet and stand.
