After a long wait, Emberstorm Entertainment has finally announced that the adventure of the young witch in the game REKA will be fully experienced in August. Although the exact date is still unknown, it has been confirmed that REKA will be available for PC via Steam.

REKA is an upcoming atmospheric base-building game set in rural Europe at the end of the 19th century. In it, you play as an herb witch traveling the countryside with your self-built chicken-legged cottage. As an apprentice to the legendary Baba Yaga, you will roam forests and swamps, collect plants, craft magical supplies for villagers, and customize your ever-growing home.

A mix of exploration, crafting and RPG awaits you, also relying on nature, spirits and the environment around you to develop powerful magic. In addition, you can customize your magical house with additional rooms, objects and memories you find on your journey, with complete creative freedom to shape your home according to your wishes.

“The feedback we received from both the closed playtest and the demo was incredible – Thank you so much for letting us know your thoughts. Reading through all your experiences playing REKA has helped us see where we need to focus our efforts as we begin the sprint into our Early Access launch. We wanted to take on board the feedback, so we’ve decided to spend a little longer on development to make some improvements.”
