Publisher BIGMODE and solo developer Shared Memory have announced that puzzle side-scrolling platformer and metroidvania Animal Well will launch for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 9 for €24.50.
In September 2022, YouTuber Jason Yevgeniy Gastrow (also known as videogamedunkey) announced that he would be starting his own video game publishing company called BIGMODE Games, which aims to release promising indie titles, and it was then revealed that Bigmode's first game would be Animal Well. Also, the publisher has big plans for the future, it plans to release a shooter called Star of Providence.
“I started development on Animal Well seven years ago and spent the majority of my evenings and weekends since that time working on it. I quit my day job about two years ago to finish the game and couldn’t be prouder of how the game turned out. This has been my passion for a long time, and I’m so excited to finally share it with the world”, said solo developer Billy Basso.
