PlateUp! Reaches 1.5 Million Steam Copies Sold

Yogscast Games and It's happening have announced that the co-op roguelike cooking game, PlateUp!, has sold a whopping 1.5 million copies on Steam.

PlateUp! started as a passion project during the Covid-19 period, inspired by the many co-op titles that the original solo developer, Alastair Janse van Rensburg, played during the quarantine. The commercial success that has been achieved since then has far exceeded all expectations. From its debut launch on PC in 2022, PlateUp! has gained an exceptional reputation thanks to extremely positive reviews on Steam, which it has proudly maintained since launch.

“I’m absolutely stunned that what started out as a labour of love project to enjoy with my friends has turned into such a huge global hit. It’s been genuinely humbling seeing such a consistent overwhelmingly positive reaction from PC players since launch. I cannot wait to welcome console players into the PlateUp! universe – and promise you there is still a lot more good stuff to come.”

PlateUp! will also be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One consoles, including Xbox Game Pass Ultimate next week, February 15 to be exact.
