Publisher PM Studios and the studio behind Dodgeball Academia, Pocket Trap, have announced top-down retro platform adventure game Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo for PC via Steam.
Pippit, a would-be yoyo master, has never gotten along well with the rest of his family: the powerful and influential Pipistrellos, led by his aunt, Madame Pipistrello. The family has had firm control over the city for decades, thanks to the electricity monopoly they established. Coincidentally, when Pippit finally stops by for his annual visit to Pipistrello Castle, he is drawn into a nefarious conspiracy by rival companies who want to dethrone Madam and take over the power generation source for themselves. After the attack on the company, Pippit and Madam start working together.
In Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, you'll face enemies using the weapon you know best: your prized yoyo. Combine old and new yoyo tricks to fight evil spirits and pay attention to your surroundings to discover new ways to traverse the terrain. Your skilled yoyo movements allow you to move through the urban landscape and to deftly reach places you never thought of before.
This title combines action, light humor and an interesting story with lots of details and pixels. You'll go through various areas to get stronger, learn new abilities and take down mob bosses, plus there are unique dungeons with even harder challenges. Four city districts await to be explored with over 1,000 challenges and secrets, four main bosses, over 40 game-changing badges to equip, 20 passive upgrades, and over 80 other collectibles throughout the city to collect.
