Inspired by classic CRPGs from the 90s and early 2000s, Passageway of the Ancients introduces players to the world of Aieryon, the last remaining magical planet in the galaxy. There they explore the city of Ithgar to solve the mystery of their parents' murder.
Septuagenarians Jon Grierson and John Hendrick, from Abilene, Texas, founded the three-member studio Passageway Games. Their work brings an atmospheric RPG with intuitive combat and a complex narrative in which you will not only have to fight for survival in increasingly deadly skirmishes, but also manage your party, develop and customize your characters, pick locks and solve runic puzzles.
The game's innovative combat system combines strategy with real-time action. The player has dual identities – a hidden Dragonkindt and a publicly known race (dwarf, elf, human), and uses real medieval weapons and tactics. Also, equipment selection is key as items affect a character's intelligence, strength, and other characteristics.
In addition, there is an extremely complex skill tree. In the game, it is really important to manage loot, adjust the frequency of special activities, choose interactions and collect clues.
Passageway of the Ancients doesn't have a specific release date, but it will be available for PC via Steam.
