Dutch studio Square Glade Games has announced an open-world exploration game in which you drive a camper called Outbound, which will be released on the PC platform via Steam, with a currently undefined release date. Also, a Kickstarter campaign is coming soon.
I must admit that I did not expect such a magical title set in a near utopian future. You start with nothing, an empty camper which you then transform into the home of your dreams. Outbound simply encourages us to explore the open world at our own pace, where we will have to salvage materials, craft various useful things, automate production and install modular parts into our vehicle.
That's not all that awaits us in this game; we will also have to worry about the energy source, which means powering the camper with energy from the sun, wind or water, and constantly advancing in technology to successfully adapt to various landscapes and changing environmental conditions. In addition, Outbound also brings elements of agriculture, where we will create gardens to grow delicate and delicious plants and mushrooms, which we can consume raw or cook them first to meet our needs.
