Get ready for a terrifying journey into the world of cooperative horror with No More Room in Hell 2, the latest game from Torn Banner Studios. Announced during the Summer Game Fest 2024, this first-person shooter will be launching in Early Access on Steam for PC this Halloween.

In No More Room in Hell 2, you take on the role of emergency responders tasked with surviving the zombie-infested zones. With permadeath, every decision counts, and you must work together with other players to scavenge for supplies, stockpile gear, and fulfill mission objectives. The game features intense eight-player cooperative play, where communication and strategy are key to survival.

The game’s massive map, Power Plant, sets the stage as you navigate through abandoned locations such as gas stations, bars, and military checkpoints. Each match begins with a group of eight players spawning at the outskirts of the map, working together to reach the center and complete objectives while fending off hordes of undead.

With a focus on realism, No More Room in Hell 2 features a dynamic gore system that lets players see and feel the impact of every wound they inflict on the undead. The game also boasts a variety of melee and ranged weapons, from crowbars to assault rifles, which can be used to take down zombies. But don’t think you’ll be able to coast through the game without consequence – permadeath means that if any player dies, all of their progress is lost. This adds an extra layer of tension to the gameplay, as players must weigh the risks and rewards of each decision.

Based on their experience with Chivalry, there are reasons to be optimistic about No More Room in Hell 2. The developer’s attention to detail in creating realistic combat mechanics in Chivalry might translate well to the horror genre. However the game will be launching in Early Access, which can be a double-edged sword. While this allows the developers to gather feedback and iterate on the game, it also means that the game may not be fully polished at launch.
