NightFall Shade is a 2D real-time survival action game

In the game NightFall Shade, we will travel through lands devastated by a long siege, facing extensive and demanding combat enriched by hardcore survival.

The game features a versatile and flexible combat system, where strikes and defenses pass through three zones, each with its own characteristics and effects when taking damage. Also, every blow can be blocked with a perfect block and retaliated with an instant counterattack, and the reaction is not only crucial in defense, but also in attack, where it is important to perform various combinations rhythmically.

A realistic armor and injury system lies in wait for you; metallic armor is nearly impenetrable, yet vulnerable spots can be pierced, and the lasting effects of injuries are often more perilous than the initial damage inflicted by opponents. Enemies possess skills akin to the main character: they can deflect attacks, evade, execute combinations, and employ counter-attacks.

NightFall Shade stands out as you have the ability to shape the main character's personality through the diet system and exploration of locations; the choice of food, drink and medicine determines what spiritual and physical characteristics your hero will have. Different environments have different effects on health and psyche: dark rooms cause panic, while the bodies of defeated enemies weaken the immune system. Although strong alcohol and drugs can help, they will have negative consequences in the future.

Additionally, the world is open to explore through complex locations with many hidden paths and secrets. To pass to the next level, it is not necessary to kill the boss or look for the key to the door, instead, discovering a secret passage allows progression, though even this route is not without its challenges. All elements of the game, from characters and locations to the interface, are hand-drawn, that is, they create the atmosphere and emphasize the aesthetics of the game world.

NightFall Shade doesn't have a specific release date yet, but it should be available on PC via Steam.
