NES classic Shadow of the Ninja is officially launching this summer on all platforms

One of the best two-player co-op games released for the Nintendo Family Computer (NES) in the early 90s, Shadow of the Ninja (also known as Blue Shadow in Europe and Australia), was inspiring enough that NatsumeAtari and TENGO PROJECT decided to publish this game on all currently available platforms.

In this exciting action-adventure and platformer, you'll use your striking katana, along with your acrobatic ninja skills, to take on powerful enemies. Our brave heroes, Hayate and Kaede, have seen a significant visual upgrade compared to their original 8-bit models. From deadly enemies to equally dangerous levels, every aspect of this game has been carefully crafted in high-quality graphics.

Special attention has been paid to the already acclaimed 2-player mode, which now features upgraded cooperative gameplay dynamics, refined character interaction, and an overall optimized experience. Also, this remake brings back Ikuo Mizutani, the composer who helped create the iconic Natsume sound and famous songs for various NES games.

Additionally, you'll be treated to an arsenal of deadly weapons such as shurikens, and five fully recreated stages featuring tricky traps and challenging puzzles woven into 16-bit style. Plus, there's a sixth all-new level.

Shadow of the Ninja – Reborn is coming physically to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 for €29.99 and digitally to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam for €19.99 this summer. Limited and Collector's Edition pre-orders are now available at Strictly Limited Games.
