Narrative-driven game Psychroma hits PC on Tuesday

During the Future of Play and Day of the Devs events at Summer Game Fest, it was announced that Psychroma will be released on Tuesday, June 11th, for PC via Stema. This narrative-driven side-scrolling game offers a unique experience of questioning your sanity while confronting the ghosts haunting a cybernetic house.

The game is set in a dilapidated Toronto in the year 2489, a city marked by economic repression and violence. You take on the role of a digital medium, whose task is to piece together the broken memories of the cybernetic house to exorcise the ghosts within. By using a deck of memory cards, you can manipulate time and navigate through the house.

One of the most intriguing elements of the game is the need to allow digital ghosts of the past to possess your body. This way, you can decode memories, solve puzzles, and see the world from the perspectives of these ghosts, creating a sense of participating in a digital séance. Using memory cards that contain the memories of past and present residents, you will try to piece together the broken parts of the house's history. It's like a twisted game of memory, where instead of matching pairs, you uncover the truth that lies behind the house's walls.

If you enjoy psychological horror games with elements of time manipulation and ghost possession, Psychroma might be the game for you.
