C2 Game Studio has rebranded third-person action RPG Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients as Astor: Blade of the Monolith. It will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam sometime this year.

“We wanted to ensure Astor: Blade of the Monolith had a strong, unique identity. Something to really make it stand out. We think the new title offers something punchier and more distinct. And you won’t need to wait long to play it as Astor: Blade of the Monolith will launch on all platforms later this year!”

said C2 Game Studio founder and game director Luis Correa in a press release

Dive deep into the rich world of Gliese, once home to an ancient race, now inhabited by new creatures, the Diokeks. Explore the mysterious landscapes of this planet as you travel through its varied landscapes. In the game, you follow the story of the young warrior Diokek called Astor, as he embarks on an adventure across Gliese in search of the truth about the disappearance of his creators.

Inspired by titles such as Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and The Legend of Zelda, Astor: Blade of the Monolith also features similar combat mechanics. Perfect new attacks, abilities and combos to defeat hordes of enemies in intense battles. Additionally, harness runic power to summon powerful constructs in battle and collect legendary weapons to upgrade your arsenal. Also, you can customize your fighting style with dynamic skills and combos to suit your taste.

You'll explore the varied landscapes of Gliese, complete numerous side quests, and discover relics left behind by ancient creators. Plus, engage in intense battles against 16 different enemies and 10 bosses for more than 20 hours of main story with side quests and New Game+ mode for even more challenge.
