Survival and adventure game Lost Skies gets first look at exploration

Share:

Bossa Games, the game developer and publisher known for creating innovative titles like I am Bread, I am Fish and the Surgeon Simulator series, has released a series of new screenshots for Lost Skies. These new renderings provide the first look at how players will traverse and explore the game's extraordinary world of floating islands.

In Lost Skies, published by Humble Games, players team up to explore a vast world made up of floating islands. The sky provides endless opportunities to build custom skyships, brave storms, fight monsters, and solve the mysteries of ancient civilizations, forgotten technologies, and introduce us to stories of a ruined world.

They also introduced a test version of the Island Creator tool, which allows players to build their own floating islands and share them with others. In the current pre-alpha playtest, they've added new islands to explore, including community-created ones, which already showcase the complexity and beauty of the islands, as well as the remains of destroyed civilizations before a mysterious world-changing event. Lost Skies draws inspiration from the studio's previous game, Worlds Adrift, and improves on many popular mechanics. Also, the rocks and ruins of the island provide perfect playgrounds for catching and swinging with a grappling hook.

Playtesters are drawn from the Lost Skies Discord community, which can be joined here: https://discord.com/invite/lostskies
