Little Kitty, Big City has taken its place among the many successful indie games released this year. On May 11, Double Dagger Studio announced that the game had sold 100,000 copies in just 48 hours. The game is available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. However, the distribution of sales between different platforms is not clear.

Little Kitty, Big City is an adventure game about a cat who got lost in a big city. It received positive reviews from critics, with an average Metascore ranging from 76 (Xbox) to 83 (Nintendo Switch). The game also has a very positive rating on Steam, with 94.56% of 2,480 user reviews being positive. According to SteamDB, Little Kitty, Big City peaked at 3,028 concurrent players, which is a solid result for a small indie game that only requires a few hours of play.

Although most players point out that Little Kitty, Big City is cute and enjoyable to play without too many complications, many have noticed problems with bugs (especially the movement of the cat) that affect the game experience itself and its short duration. Double Dagger Studio, the team behind this game, was founded by Matt T. Wood in 2019. Wood is a gaming veteran whose career began in the late 90s. He worked at 3D Realms on games such as Duke Nukem Forever and Remedy's Max Payne before joining Valve in 2003.
