Today at Days of the Dev: Wholesome Snack event, it was revealed that the long-awaited co-op feature will be coming to Go-Go Town!, a charming open-world sandbox game that combines life-sim elements. Additionally, developer Prideful Sloth and publisher CULT Games are inviting players to an upcoming Steam playtest, to which you can sign up here: https://subscribepage.io/GGT-playtest/.

It's a game where we have to turn a dilapidated city into a bustling tourist attraction. With some guidance from the elderly residents of Go-Go Town, you'll soon learn the pros and cons of being mayor, starting with building and repairing buildings. Also, we will have to plant various fruits and vegetables, build attractive shops and nightclubs just to convince the odd visitor to stay a while. In the upcoming playtest, players can look forward to the following:

  • Construction and management of the city
  • Using various tools such as a chainsaw and a drill in order to collect various materials needed for construction
  • Making decisions about which stores to build, who will manage them, how the stores will generate revenue, and how to manage supply chains
  • The possibility of expanding your industry by hiring miners, fishermen, loggers or farmers
  • Transporting yourself and your materials in style through go-karting, skateboarding, etc.

Go-Go Town! will be available on consoles such as PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, and PC in February 2024.
