The story begins with Cleo, who, seeking respite from her busy life, returns to her hometown. Reconnecting with her childhood friend Axel, they embark on an ambitious project to restore the local wetlands. Their goal is to transform the withering environment into a vibrant sanctuary for frogs, creating a haven for these four-legged friends.
In the game Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge, you will revitalize wetlands by engaging in various activities such as digging ponds, planting crops, and placing furniture throughout the sanctuary. These activities create water bodies to provide habitats for different frog species, cultivate plants that attract and sustain frog populations, and decorate the sanctuary with cozy items to make the environment inviting.
You can attract over 500 froggy friends from eight different species, each with unique behaviors and preferences. The sanctuary becomes a lively place as frogs rest on cozy sofas or enjoy bubble baths. A unique feature of the game is the Frogedex, a journal where you record your discoveries.
