If you’re a fan of thrilling adventures featuring a blend of action and narrative set in a distinctive dystopian world, Anima Flux provides exactly that. The storyline centers around two elite soldiers, and as players, you’ll harness their unique abilities and skills – one shown as a swordsman, the other as archer. Each player will assume control of one soldier, and both characters evolve differently as the game progresses. You will also face challenges posed by dangerous mutants and collaboratively plan strategies in epic boss battles with a friend. The best part is that you can effortlessly switch to single-player mode whenever your pal is unavailable.

The world in Anima Flux is thoroughly detailed, portrayed through the artistic lens of 80-90s retro sci-fi aesthetics. The game thoughtfully crafts a variety of futuristic 2D visuals intertwined with a dark cosmic atmosphere. Featuring hand-drawn animated cutscenes, distinctive enemies, and supporting characters, the game gracefully immerses you in the human world of the distant future.

In addition to confronting various enemies, the game presents unique environmental challenges and puzzles involving lots of jumping and climbing. But there’s more, you have the ability to outsmart death by transferring your anima using implant technology. Everything you expect from Metroidvania genre, can be found in this game.

Anima Flux is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year for PC (Steam and GoG), and versions for Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo are to be expected. Stay up to date with development progress by following on Facebook, X (Twitter) and Discord. For additional details, visit the official website. The demo is also playable on Steam.
