Get ready to dive into the standalone introduction of JDM: Japanese Drift Master with JDM: Rise of the Scorpion and a new teaser trailer. This upcoming game takes players to the fictional Japanese prefecture of Guntama, a location inspired by various authentic Japanese settings. The game offers a realistic racing experience combined with a story presented through manga-style cutscenes.

JDM: Rise of the Scorpion serves as a prologue to JDM: Japanese Drift Master, introducing the narrative aspect of the game. You will follow the story of Hatori Hasashi and his journey to becoming the legendary Scorpion. Hatori, an exemplary student from a traditional Japanese family, brings his pride and arrogance to the racetrack, facing various rivals along the way.

The story unfolds in Guntama, a fictional Japanese prefecture inspired by the mountainous regions of Honshu. Fans of Japan’s famous drifting routes will recognize many real-world resemblances. By placing racetracks and areas close together, the game creates a dynamic and diverse open map. In JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, you will explore only a part of the expansive world prepared for the full version of JDM: Japanese Drift Master.

The open-world map in the prologue will feature new, interesting areas and challenging roads. You can return to the winding mountain roads around Haikama Lake, known from the demo version, and experience the extraordinary racing environment. The Tengai Forest route offers an ideal setting to practice and refine driving skills, with challenging turns and corners that test drifting abilities.

JDM: Rise of the Scorpion will be available for PC via Steam on July 18, while JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be released sometime this year for Steam, Epic Games and GOG.
