Into the Restless Ruins is a new rougelike deck-builder from Dungeon Golf makers

Ant Workshop, the studio known for Dungeon Golf, a multiplayer party game where you played golf and fought your way through a series of dungeons, recently revealed more information about its next game, Into the Restless Ruins. It is a roguelike deck-builder, which, like Dungeon Golf, contains one key idea that aims to provide a unique take on the genre.

In many roguelike games, each time you enter a new dungeon, you get a fresh adventure. Enemies move around and the layout changes. But Into the Restless Ruins does things differently. Instead of the map changing on its own, you get to decide how it looks using the cards you've gathered. This game puts you in the role of dungeon creator, giving you control over your journey instead of relying on random elements.

Throughout the day, you'll use your deck of cards to explore different rooms, each room offering different bonuses that shape your adventure. As you move forward, you'll discover which rooms work well together. You'll gather cards during nighttime adventures, battling through your creations to collect resources called Glimour from fallen enemies and bring them back safely, all while trying to satisfy the mysterious Maiden.

The Harvest Maiden is a mysterious figure who can fulfill all your wishes, but only if you offer her what she wants. If you win her favor, she rewards you with new cards that will enhance your next playthrough. But if you make her angry, those cards won't do any good.

There is currently no official release date for Into the Restless Ruins, but the developers are considering a possible late summer launch for the game when it will be available for PC via Steam.
