Premiering at the AG French Direct Spring 2024, this intriguing title offers a unique gameplay dynamic that will test your communication, skill, and composure.
In the Same Boat sets players on an adventure across the ocean, where cooperation and coordination are key. The game splits responsibilities between two players: one commands the ship as the Sailor, while the other, the Cartographer, navigates from the captain’s cabin using a map. In the Same Boat also offers a solo mode that combines both roles into a single-player experience.
Each game lasts around 15 minutes and presents a new procedurally generated world. This feature ensures that no two journeys are the same, offering endless replayability. You will navigate through several unique biomes, each with its own set of wonders and challenges. As the Cartographer, you’ll manually complete the map, strategically placing landmarks and ports to chart a course for the Sailor.
However, cunning pirates and formidable sea monsters lurk in the treacherous seas, ready to test your skills. You must decide whether to steer clear of these dangers or face them head-on, using their ship’s cannons to overcome any threats. The game also features a leaderboard showcasing the fastest completion times for each level.
The demo is planned for early 2025 on PC via Steam.
