During last year's PC Gaming Show, indie developer Monumental Collab and publisher CRITICAL REFLEX have revealed a new trailer that officially announces Drowned Lake, a story-driven fishing horror game with survival elements coming to PC.
In the game, you control a boat as you move through a dense forest and explore its mysterious waters to discover the gruesome secrets hidden in its depths. Namely, the story is told from three unique points of view (become a firefighter, a journalist or an experienced fisherman), imbued with Brazilian folklore legends and nightmares, all under the influence of a retro VHS visual style.
Through exploring, fishing, gathering evidence and solving puzzles, you will uncover what really lies beneath the dark waters of Drowned Lake, but be careful – every step you take can generate noise that attracts the dangers of the forest. Additionally, in this interactive story, every choice you make can determine the outcome, and there are multiple endings.
Drowned Lake is the successor to the successful Monumental Collab title Our Lady of the Drowned Lake, an original nautical horror experience presented during the game-making marathon GMTK Game Jam 2022. With a team behind it, known for its passion for unique horror content, you're in for a rich and intriguing horror experience.
Drowned Lake will be released on PC via Steam.
