The Odd Gentlemen, the studio behind games like The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, have announced Harmonium: The Musical, a melodic adventure game. Announced during The Game Awards 2023 event, this game brings an interesting story and music like that of Disney.
The main role is played by Melody Mecato, a young deaf girl and musician who loves to perform. Her goal is to return home to perform her big show, but she faces a powerful threat that only the power of music can defeat. This wonderful game is told entirely in American Sign Language, including detailed and interactive Disney-style musical numbers.
The new trailer reveals a variety of characters, some of them wearing hearing aids, using American Sign Language with each other. In a world where every note of music is visualized, players explore the wonders of Harmonium through innovative gameplay mechanics and narrative puzzles, allowing players to communicate through body language, hand shapes and gestures.
While there is currently no release date set for this game, it should be coming to Netflix Games and Xbox Game Pass.
