Solo developer oxblud, in collaboration with horror game publisher DreadXP, announced the release of the horror adventure FLATHEAD on Steam on May 30. This title promises a short but highly replayable experience where the player's entire existence depends on whether or not you gamble away your life.
FLATHEAD is the first game from DreadXP's new XP Ultra program, giving players a sneak peek into the world of silkbulb test, another upcoming horror game from oxblud. In this game, you engage in single-seat sessions, using various tools, tricks and, ultimately, your luck to collect enough points to buy your freedom. All this while a sense of impending doom lurks from the shadows, which adds a certain amount of tension and excitement.
The XP Ultra program is designed to support smaller and shorter projects. Namely, this initiative aims to elevate indie games with the same quality of marketing, PR and production support that DreadXP provides to larger titles. FLATHEAD, on the other hand, stands out due to its good playability, but also through the strategic use of tools to ensure your freedom.
FLATHEAD will be available on Steam from May 30, 2024 at a price of 1.99 USD / 1.99 EUR.
