Farthest Frontier, the survival city-builder from Crate Entertainment, has shared a new roadmap leading up to its full release. Since its Early Access launch, the game has sold over 1 million copies, accumulated over 1.5 million wishlists, and received thousands of Very Positive reviews on Steam. The roadmap outlines major features players can look forward to on the path to the 1.0 launch.

In Farthest Frontier, you build a town in an untamed wilderness, harvest resources, hunt, fish, farm, and craft for trade, defense, and survival. The game features a deep farming system, numerous unique buildings, and customizable religions. Afterwards, you’ll will have to defend your settlement with formidable fortifications and an army, protecting against invaders with cavalry and catapults.

Version 0.9.3 will significantly improve game performance, with tests showing up to 100% better framerates in large settlements. This update also rebalances game pace, increases desirability and entertainment radius, and introduces new combat controls. Version 0.9.4 will bring the tier 5 housing update, allowing upgrades of Shelters to impressive manors and bakeries to prestigious pastry shops, meeting townspeople’s desires for luxuries.

Version 0.9.5 expands gameplay with a minimap for better navigation, a Crop Summary window for farm management, and rewards for exploring lost salvage sites. Version 0.9.6 adds a simulation update, introducing voice lines for villagers and new interactions, making the town feel more alive. An overhauled custom game mode allows players to craft their ideal gameplay experience.
