Developer and publisher rokaplay, known for titles such as Spells & Secrets, Solar Punk and Lou's Lagoon, has officially announced Sugardew Island – Your Cozy Farm Shop. This cozy adventure combines elements of trading and farming, and is set on a deserted island.
After a surprising storm and shipwreck, players wake up on Sugardew Island, a former place of harmony between humans, animals and mystical forest folk. Greed led to an attempt to destroy the sacred tree, which plunged this island into chaos. As players, we must restore harmony by running our own shop, manage the farm, build relationships with the animals and socialize with the forest folk.
Additionionally, we can sell everything we grow in the shop and then negotiate prices. In order to improve the farm, it is essential to collect wood, stones and weeds for various improvements. We can feed animals and build relationships with them for eggs and milk. The goal is actually to heal the "tree of harmony" with the help of different tasks. Also, we can improve our house, barn and tools to increase efficiency.
The first gameplay trailer was also published, which shows us exactly what we can expect from this game. Sugardew Island is currently slated for a Q2 2024 release for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5. Also, the Kickstarter campaign for this title has started.
