Two brothers, Jason and Jalen Fleming, founders of Eagle One Studios, are developing the game called Ether Chronicles in which you will play as a tamer of Ether "monsters" and the goal is to capture them all.
Ether Chronicles is a narrative monster-taming RPG game developed using the Maker MV engine, in which you will collect, train and fight using "Ether Monsters" to become the best tamer of these creatures in the world and solve the mystery of the "Shadow Monsters" phenomenon in the region.
The brothers revealed to us that it's been 11 months since they came up with the concept of the game, which started as a fun project, and in March 2023 they started developing the narrative and gameplay. They plan to launch a Steam page in January 2024, and the game should be released sometime between March and June next year.
"Pokemon Emerald inspired us because that was the first video game we ever played, and we wanted to create a new monster-taming experience focusing on the narrative. The Persona series inspired the combat system in the game, but it’s still a work in progress, and we think of new combat ideas together", said Jason.
