Dungeon-crawler Arhaekon releases on Steam in the second quarter of this year

Independent development studio Predict Edumedia will release Arhaekon, a tactical turn-based roguelike and dungeon-crawler game, on Steam in Early Access in the second quarter of this year. It is inspired by the general aesthetic of Warhammer 40k, while taking gameplay mechanics from games such as Path of Exile, Darkest Dungeon and the classic Disciples 2.

You are entering a torn world, where an ancient, lost civilization stands witness to the ongoing struggle of two god-like factions: the Arhaekons and the Prospherisors. Mages, in their quest for power, cause a cataclysm of unknown origin that destroyed half of the continent, while black clouds obscure the sun, bringing terrible hunger and death. These events coincide strangely with the discovery of Prospherisor's tomb deep in the mine. The goal of the game is to find and awaken Archaekons locked in a tomb to prevent the extinction of humanity and confront Prospherisors.

As you progress through the game, you'll delve into procedurally generated dungeons and gather loot in 14 distinct regions teeming with a variety of enemies. Engage in tactical turn-based combat, selecting from a pool of 12 distinct units spanning four classes, each with its own set of abilities, experience, and advancement. Additionally, you'll encounter randomly generated upgrades, crafting recipes, lore pages, or ritual rites of six different rarities.

You can upgrade and manage your tired refugee camp and fix your buildings. Every choice you make, from managing to fighting, is important, and you can't change your mind later.
