Absolutely Games and Team17 Digital today announced that the standard and deluxe editions of Classified: France ’44, the World War II strategy game coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, will launch on March 5th. The Overlord Edition will also be available on all platforms, allowing players to jump into battle 5 days early, on February 29th to be exact.
Classified: France ’44 is an original approach to tactical turn-based gaming that authentically evokes the challenges of a firefight during World War II. Set deep in the heart of Nazi-occupied France, take control of the Jedburghs: a group of special forces working with the Resistance. Use the extensive RPG system to assemble a team of skilled soldiers and experience history firsthand as you fight to determine the success of D-Day.
The game introduces a distinctive morality system where each decision has the potential to shift the course of the battle. In addition to stealth elements, players must navigate the challenge of friendly fire, requiring careful placement of their team. The campaign offers 15 distinct endings and stands out for its historically authentic gameplay, faithfully mirroring real-world tactical strategies.
