Daedalic Entertainment announced that Core Engage's debut title, New Cycle, will launch in Steam Early Access on January 18, 2024. It is a combination of city-builder and survival game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth that has been ravaged by solar flares, reducing it to settlements reminiscent of early civilizations. Players are invited to pass on the lessons and knowledge of the past each new day, with the hope that these learnings will shape the future of humanity.

New Cycle is inspired by a dieselpunk aesthetic, with a special emphasis on guiding a small group of settlers in search of refuge after a solar disaster that has ravaged Earth. You start with a basic settlement, a few hungry workers, and many unmet needs. As the population grows, you'll face new challenges for your colony – fluctuations in morale, outbreaks of disease, energy losses and resource demands will test your leadership skills.

With a unique crisis component involving solar activity and climate change, inspired by today's environmental concerns, New Cycle respects existing game elements of the genre while innovating in light of the new world and circumstances. Early Access will feature two different gameplay modes (campaign and sandbox), three different biomes, 54 buildings, 47 craftable resources, three social classes, eight different development stages, and a 3D asset inventory divided into three key periods and approach art styles.
