The debut title from creator-led publisher Atomic Picnic is coming to Steam Early Access in Spring 2024. The game is being developed by BitCake Studio, and you can sign up for a limited playtest available for signups via PlayAtomicPicnic.com.

Video game publisher Mad Mushroom, under the influencer ownership of OTK Network, today unveiled its first title, Atomic Picnic, from Brazil's BitCake Studio. It is a cooperative third-person shooter with roguelike elements, set in a dystopian universe filled with monsters, where reality is broken by human greed.

On Monday, December 11, the playtest opened for all interested players, and it will last until December 18. Players will team up with three other Loners and go on a scavenger hunt called Picnics, facing relentless hordes of monsters. Each Picnic is unique, providing different challenges as you run, shoot, explore, collect and upgrade to fight waves of monsters and bosses. Also, each picnic offers different upgrades and special events for singleplayer or multiplayer. Additionally, Atomic Picnic is the first co-op roguelike shooter to feature a "Survivors-like" collect-a-thon progression system.

“We were immediately drawn to the vibrant and striking art style of Atomic Picnic. With its blend of co-op, roguelike, and bullet heaven elements, this is a perfect first title for Mad Mushroom to publish. And BitCake Studio’s commitment to open, community-first development makes them a wonderful first development partner for us as well.”

Mike “Sibs” Silbowitz, CEO of Mad Mushroom
