Falling State Inc. announced that their chaotic top-down action roguelite, Earl vs the Mutants, is coming to PC via Steam on July 11th. Soon, players will be able to jump into their death machines and fight their way through all kinds of mutant threats in a post-apocalyptic survival game.
Earl vs. the Mutants puts players in the shoes of Earl, a working-class mutant assassin, after a nuclear apocalypse. Instead of exploring dark dungeons, players dive into fast-paced action, driving various vehicles to fight hordes of mutants. The aim of the game, ultimately, is survival.
Encouraging a more intense, confrontational style of gameplay, Earl vs. the Mutants urges players to throw themselves into waves of formidable foes instead of dodging them. Defeating irradiated enemies unlocks random upgrades, like mounted weapons and powerful drones, to help create the ultimate combat vehicle. Only the best-equipped cars can defeat the game's toughest bosses.
It's also important to note that after the game's premiere at Steam Next Fest earlier this year, the developers have been hard at work revamping the graphics. Thanks to this new look, the game now looks and works better than ever before.
