A Kickstarter project has started for Spasms of Stupidity, a rougelike game in which we take control of a clan of demons

Spasms of Stupidity is a war game with rouge-like elements inspired by the old tactical RPG DragonForce (Saturn), which takes place in a dimension between the demon and human kingdoms. Demon clans fight each other for dominance over reality, using human loyalty as the main resource to manifest closer to it.

This title will feature a class evolution system, neutral encounters on the world map to recruit new members to your army, endless item combinations, fast-paced themed scenarios, and standard roguelike elements like unlocking new starters and new objectives for maximum replayability. The game will run on Unreal Engine 5, so a very solid game engine with long-term sustainability and independent improvements

The goal of this game is to build a demonic faction from the ground up to conquer the world. This means you will have to gather people's loyalty by tricking them with religions, politics and dreams. Design your own battle squad with different soldiers, lead by the captain and choose your strategy by unlocking the technology tree, made up of mini-games. In addition, each soldier has its own AI and can be developed from a simple collector to a unique powerful general.

Solo developer Gratmoaldo is asking for $21,000 in funding to successfully bring this game to an end, and anyone interested can learn more about Spasms of Stupidity via Kickstarter or Steam.
